I moved to Corona 16yrs; ago. One of the reasons I chose Corona was because I drove all over the city and didn't see any graffiti. I worked in LE for 28yrs. and I can tell you this is only the beginning. It starts with graffiti and abandoned cars and in those areas where you see it, it's a steady decline in the neighborhood. In community policing it's called "The Broken Window Syndrome". I reported an abandoned vehicle approximately 2wks. ago and was informed it was reported to the PD, as far as I know the vehicle is still there. Years ago I had my PU taken out of my driveway here in Corona. When I called to report it I was told an officer would contact me for a report. Later that day I received a call from someone who identified himself as an officer working for Corona PD. Instead of coming to my residence and taking the report, which he should have done because according to the law I had to sign this particular report under penalty of perjury he took some information from me about the truck and that was the end to it.
