There is a previous request to the City to remove the tree and ticket was closed when removed. The tree roots cracked the sidewalk, broken branches falling making it a pedestrian liability and have reached the power lines. A replacement tree is bring plantedas soon as the roots are removed. We were notified by the city the trees are the responsibility of the owner to handle, no permit needed.

And I'm sure you won't stop scrutinizing the work on the property and being told you were trespassing on it by leveling nuisance complaints to the city. Try watching out for crime activity in the neighborhood and do your part to help and report that instead. A tree that would have damaged the whole sidewalk should be the least of your concerns. You don't live on my side of the neighborhood

It's good to know a tree is being replanted. Yes, there is always something worse going on in the world but it's not unreasonable to be concerned about the trees.

Look, according to the tree person in the City, they are trying to preserve trees, however, but not at the cost of liability on their end and of the owners who choose to plant trees that could be dangerous over the long run. Plus, I'm not required to plant the tree, it's purely voluntary on my part. I'm not sure if the city would require a permit, but I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. My responsibility right now is to repair the sidewalk, and again, the city isn't requiring me to do it.

And to add, if the tree wasn't a dangerous nuisance to start with, it wouldn't have to be removed. In that case, it would be reasonable to care about the trees. Just so you know, the property already has about five trees, so be comforted that I'm not anti-tree. It's simply taking responsibility to protect the pedestrians, and the immediate property. That tree, if it was allowed to grow unchecked, could have busted the city sewer line.

I would recommend that before you complain to the city, talk to the owner and not to the workers on site. They did not remove the tree. A neighbor, who is an arborist for the city and who grew up in the neighborhood, saw the tree planted by the previous owner- so it was already confirmed it wasn't a city tree. He recommended the tree removed because of the liabilities it posed, and the City expects owners to maintain the sidewalk and any tree or shrubbery on it- whether it is city-owned or not.

You can now complain that the tree to the next neighboring property busted the sidewalk so bad it is a tripping hazard to pedestrians.

And by the way, please ensure you have a certificate of occupancy for your property that you are renting out by the room and ensure that you are paying taxes to the city as a business entity. You are cramming so many people in your house that your tenants are eating up street parking on Goss, Wood and 8th Streets.

Since you've now sent 9 messages increasingly unconnected to the original issue, I should point out that I'm not this person you seem to be so very angry at. I'm not a landlord, and your veiled threats and talk of trespassing and cameras are not directed at me. You're just screaming into the void.

I was just concerned about the tree. I note that you asked for the previous ticket to be closed - not the city. I won't respond further, and I look forward to you planting a replacement.

The tree, with or without a permit, is a hazard. Research about the ordinance on hazardous conditions that the tree may be removed. BTW, the photo you submitted is deceptive and does not reflect the true condition of the environment the tree is in - cracked sidewalk, reaching the power lines and broken branches, and possibly reaching the sewer lines, it was not removed for aesthetic reasons. If you want to help, then donate or offer to plant a new tree! You are a coward and a liar to publish and complain anonymously without checking the full facts of the matter!

The city asked to close the ticket, so I closed it when the tree was removeded.
